Defining Who We Are

December 7, 2012

What makes us who we are, what we believe-in or believe to be true and why?

One only has to look to the foundations taught to us at a very young and impressionable age.  We are merely a mind demanding input for navigating through this existence.  Some would call it “natural curiosity” while others may label it “survival mode” for the species.  Clearly it is a matter of semantics but it still demonstrates the need for us to learn and understand our surroundings.  Why things happen and how, the cause and effect principle as for in every action there is a reaction.

Obviously this time in our lives is extremely important as it indoctrinates us into a world view that we haven’t had an opportunity to discern for ourselves.  At this juncture we are extremely vulnerable and open to an appeal to authority, a logical fallacy.

Here lies the danger; well-meaning individuals professing views that they consider to be true, real and what they believe to be right.  They want to do the right thing and to guide you towards their reality.  This in itself being an action of altruism and sincere giving is truly an attribute worthy of respect but not without a caveat; Buyer Beware.  In summary of any guidance or information given to the young or anyone for that matter should include the statement; “These are just my opinions and they are open for discussion, debate and rebuttal.  I do encourage you to do your research, educate yourself on the topic(s) discussed and come to your own conclusions.  This practice of questioning and free thinking; not bound to absolutes, is imperative for you to own who you are and the world you live in.”

The bigger danger is people or groups of people with an agenda to keep you indoctrinated into their belief systems and discourage free thinking and questioning.

Going forward there will be examples of  what I will call “The Danger People”, these are the groups we need to be keenly aware of and their dangerous agendas of all sorts of inhumanity and lies.  Though they may be small fringe groups they still are influencing the uninformed, the vulnerable and uneducated masses in perpetuating the demise of our species via intellectual insanity.  They are forcing their way into our government and our schools. As the moral species that we are; it is our responsibility to force these groups into extinction by fighting for the truth in reality.  They do not deserve the freedom that we have fought so hard for, in fact, they are purveyors of taking away our freedoms.  They must go once and for all.

  1. Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Taking the time and actual effort to produce a very good article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and never manage to get nearly anything done.

    • Thank you for your kind words, you’re a special individual with time on your side. Enjoy every moment and don’t worry for it will rob the very essence of the now.
